The new building provides a modern and flexible working environment in an attractive and central downtown location
Gütersloh. After almost two and a half years of construction, the Schüttflix Tower in the Gleis 13 district in Gütersloh was inaugurated today, Thursday (April 11, 2024), in the presence of North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister of Construction, Ina Schnarrenbach. With the seven-story building, the company is responding to its personnel growth and investing in the future-oriented expansion of the company.
“The new Schüttflix Tower in Gütersloh symbolizes our consistent development from a successful start-up to a company firmly established on the market,” says Christian Hülsewig, managing director and co-founder of Schüttflix. ”With the Schüttflix Tower, we have created a company headquarters that offers optimal working conditions and fully meets the needs of our employees.”
The Schüttflix Tower, centrally located at the former freight yard in Gütersloh, has seven floors and over 6,500 square meters of floor space. A Skybar and the in-house bistro “Cook & Chill” round off the facilities for employees. On the ground floor, there is an auditorium for 150 people that can be used for internal and external events. There is also a café on the ground floor that is open to the public. The Schüttflix Tower is part of the modern Gleis 13 district, which was created in 2014 when the Hagedorn Group, a co-founder and shareholder of Schüttflix, and the Borchard Group took over the site.
“Leisure, commerce and education are an excellent mix, and the Schüttflix and Hagedorn Tower is the perfect finishing touch. This is how the new city quarter can be described. With today's opening of the Schüttflix Tower, the further development of the former freight yard is complete – and Gütersloh is enriched by an architectural highlight. A place of gathering has been created. The Schüttflix Tower is not just a building made of steel and concrete, but a symbol of the change that the city of Gütersloh has been and continues to be undergoing. I would like to take this special occasion as an opportunity to thank all those who have contributed to making this vision a reality. The Hagedorn Group is an entrepreneurial success story from North Rhine-Westphalia: innovative, global and yet always rooted in its home region,” says Ina Scharrenbach, Minister for Regional Identity, Communities and Local Government, Building and Digitalization of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
TV presenter Laura Wontorra hosted the opening event. Schüttflix spokesperson and shareholder Sophia Thomalla was also present at the inauguration: “Being the boss of Laura Wontorra for once was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. But seriously, I'm of course thrilled about the success of Schüttflix and the new headquarters here in Gütersloh.”
